Rating 25 Stars I love me some forbidden romance enemies to lovers and opposites attract tropes and this blurb promised me all that with some steam and some drama Not gonna lie it totally delivered Luca and Olivia have explosive chemistry and I loved how Luca set out to prove to Olivia that he wasn't his father and he wasn't his brother thank god He was a strong alpha male who always put the people he loved first Whether is was little Christiana or Olivia He definitely goes above and beyond to try to win Olivia over Olivia was a strong heroine she has been knocked down again and again with devastating losses but she had an inner strength that never let her give up She was a bit stubborn but then she was an even match for Luca who however well meaning his intentions missteps uiet a bit and had to learn the hard way from his mistakes Loved this author's writing style and overall Seduced by the Enemy was a good read It was bittersweet but I loved the epilogue This is the first of a series the next books will feature Luca's best friends and business partners I'm curious for their stories and will keep an eye out for them view spoilerThis had a lot of potential but I was torn about the secondary tragic romance that was Olivia's sister Jane and Luca's brother Antonio While Olivia and Luca try to put their best foot forward for the sake of their niece the real story of Jane and Antonio is revealed along side Luca and Olivia's budding romance And Jane and Antonio ended up overshadowing the main couple Their story was so freaking heartbreaking Like gut wrenching makes you want to cry at the unfairness of it all sad My mind kept going back to poor Jane And I felt bad for Antonio but at the same time I hated this weak spineless excuse for a man The fact that he lied about Jane allowed some heartless woman to claim her child while belittling Jane and denying her even in death was the worst thing a Hero can do and this guy never gets to atone for it because Jane died and then so does he Ugh Just thinking about the lies and deceit he plays along with makes me so mad This secondary storyline was so overwhelming that it was hard to pull myself out of their funk and immerse myself with Olivia and Luca hide spoiler

This story starts off with a bang when the hero Luca arrives from Italy to the heroine Olivia’s door here in Sydney demanding a lot Oliva stands up to him and there is a lot of misunderstanding and mistaken identity to be sorted out so hang onto your seat for a bumpy ride to a HEA that left me smilingLuca has flown to Australia with one thing on his mind and that is his niece Christiana and there will be no stopping him from getting what he wants but when he comes to see Jane and gets her sister Olivia there is much confusion and after working though the problems he now has to prove to Olivia that he is not his father and convince Olivia to come to Italy and try and understand the feelings he seems to have for herOlivia has struggled with a lot since the death of her sister niece and father and the cancellation of her wedding now teaching she is a great artist the last thing she expects is the man who helped cause a lot of her problems showing up on her doorstep and turning her world upside down she shouldn’t really feel the pull that she does to this very handsome man he is the enemyThere is a lot going on in this story lots of emotions and fiery ones as well Luca was very hard on Olivia in the beginning but he did have his reasons and Olivia could be uite stubborn at times as well but there was always a very sensual pull between them one that kept me turning the pages MS Montgomery has bought them to life on the pages with other characters that have added so much to the story and the setting is beautiful This is one that I highly recommend and I am looking forward to in the series

I tried with this book I really did but I just found the plot to be kind of all over the place I felt like the idea was original and the story was uniue definitely not something you find in a lot of romance novels but it just felt too convoluted to me The first scene was too he said she said without anyone listening to each other and then the surrogate stuff was also a bit odd The writing felt mature and intelligent but I just couldn't get into the story and I just found myself irritated by the characters I did like the mystery and suspense that the plot held but I still ended up DNFing around 50%

This book was fun Luca and Olivia had great chemistry and the enemies to lovers trope delivered well in this title I would have liked a little development on their overall romance and I wish that it had been just a little bit longer for some fleshing out of characters and plot but overall this was a uick read and fun romance

i loved this book and highly recommend it and the second stand a lone book in this seriesOlivia is a young woman who has been through hell with the deaths of her younger sister and her father and then lots of rehabilitation after her mother walked out in front of a car Then add in the loss of her fiancee and an Exhibition of her paintings She is just barely getting by when her sister's widow shows up on her doorstep after he avoided her while she was trying to get the body of her sister out of a foreign country where she didn't speak the languageLuca has been raising his niece for the last five years the daughter of his dead twin brother when due to a medical problem he has to reach out to her mothers' family When who he thinks is Jane opens the door she attacks him He immediately thinks the woman who sold her child is on drugs He can't think of any other reason for her to go after him after his family has given her so much money surely he can bribe her again for what her child needsThe mix up is made worst by his father who has poisoned his son against this woman Needless to say there is a lot to be cleared up in this story You get grabbed from the start and finish the book in record time

This book grew on me as I read and of it At first I really wasn’t taken by Luca the hero of the story who comes across as an opinionated self righteous bully in his first scene Turns out there are reasons for his behaviour but it took me a while to forgive him By that point I was into the story and curious to see how it would goSeduced By The Enemy is obviously an enemies to lovers story but it’s also about trust patience and the extremes people will go to for those they love I liked Olivia the heroine of the story who really had to put up with a lot including upending her peaceful life in Sydney to fly to Rome with her mother Marjorie another lovely character to meet and try to save the life of her niece Christiana whose existence comes as a huge surprise to both the womenWith a web of lies surrounding Christiana’s existence there is plenty in this plot to keep readers on their toes While I thought it somewhat implausible at times I did enjoy this story

Sometimes your heart will take your every rationale thought and throw it out the window Losing everything and focusing on the man who slowly made her life a living hell provided her with the driving force to make a difference What happens when everything you knew is not what it seems? You begin to fall slowly and helplessly for the one who holds your heart captive and life is no longer the place you had envisioned for so long It is never reasonable when you are faced with an enemy your family continues to fight with and your helpless as every beat of your heart is for your enemy Luca will capitivate your soul as he looks for answers and let’s be honest Olivia never stood a chance in his wake

Arc made available by NetGalleyI read Seduced by the Enemy and was not really blown away I enjoyed the struggle that Olivia went through but it almost got a little too fantastical I realize people have bad days but it just seemed like Olivia’s life was just a little bit too much I struggled to really click with her as a character However I will say I really liked Luca He was overall a great character and turned into an upstanding guy I will confess that I only got 65% into the book before I finally decided it just wasn’t my cup of tea

This is the first book I've read by this author and while Luca and Olivia's journey to be together was good I struggled to connect with these characters for some reason It wasn't a long book but I felt that the plot dragged at times too many misunderstandings I did love Luca's character and I would have enjoyed interaction with little Christiana since the entire premise really revolved around her This was a 35 star read for me I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley
