A copy of this review can be found at Book Ink Reviews Thank you to NetGalley M Greenhill and 2 Little Monkeys for this free ARC in exchange for an honest review Forgive me but I need to fangirl it outThis was a brilliantly done paranormal thriller with just as much romance to boot It contains only werewolf legend No vampires or ghosts or other mystical beings and it was done with sex appeal danger protective instincts and a massive dose of what can pass as realityDaniel our megahot Alpha is a dashing gentleman He is intelligent and caring and he uses both of these traits to keep the greater American packs as safe as possible while they fight the Hitler of werewolves in wanting to take out any half human wolves He's a bit of a possessive lover and entirely too bossy But somehow you still love him to piecesParker is feisty strong resilient and is in no way submissive The perfect match for Daniel And also his greatest challenge But the chemistry here is strong and I appreciated that Parker though she ended up and needed rescuing because she's only human was still able to hold her own and brought the tech intelligence to the group to take down the evil that designed the pestilence for the normally immortal werewolvesThis had the perfect balance of fast pace believable romance and a greater plot driver than just the two romantic leads I am thoroughly looking forward to the next book in the series and have accepted the release date will be eagerly awaited with barely contained impatience

With time is running out nemeses Parker and Daniel have to work together to save werewolves from extinction in this new techno thriller of M Greenhill This book is filled with trills and suspense as the two are trying to track down the manufacturer of a powerful drug designed to kill the people they love Add plenty of sparks bantering and heart pounding action and this debut novel of M Greenhill turns into a must read Not a dull moment until you’ve turned the last page I’m already looking forward to the next installment

35 Good writing good plot and execution the romance aspect however is significantly undercooked The other let down was a character of Simon as a beta he came across rather wimpy Other than that a very decent read

My reading preferences don’t usually include werewolf stories I’m likely to pick up a romance or women's fiction book And in fact it was in one of these genres I first contacted with Greenhill’s talented writing a while ago Reading this book was a lovely experience though I myself the romance fan loved how Parker and Daniel’s relationship evolved It was also uite interesting to learn about the werewolf world and mythology how modern technology affects their interactions Finally the amazing gripping plot It kept me turning the pagesOn the whole this was a wonderful debut I highly recommend Packed with action suspense and romance this book will certainly have all paranormal thriller fans on the edge of their seats

Enter the world of Werewolves A hidden secret living among humans since the beginning of time That is until Parker Johnson is thrust into their world becoming the Brandenburg Pack's 'human pet' Accepted by most of the packs living in the US Parker's only resister is the Alpha Commander; Alpha Daniel Locke But when a genocidal virus starts spreading like wildfire; first targeting werewolves and then humans alike these two opposites are suddenly forced to set aside their past and work together to eliminate the threat at its core root But will they be too late?In this heart pounding page turner follow Parker and Daniel through their struggles as they work together to end a werewolf holocaust This paranormal thriller will have you on the edge of your seat unable to put down this nerve wracking story The plot and character relationship growth will have you rooting for the good guys cursing the bad and shipping two unsuspecting individualsHaving had the pleasure of reading the version posted on Wattpad I was hooked from the beginning I found putting it down to work on house chores very difficult I love the conflict between Parker and Daniel as the story progresses and they learn to put their differences aside for the better good of finding a solution to the epidemic threatening the existence of Daniel's race Then there is Jessica Daniel's sister and her eccentric personality and Simon Daniel's best friend and Beta and his 'surfer dude' persona that add a comic relief to the tension filled chapters that make up this original and suspenseful novelI had the honor of receiving a free ARC copy of Masked with no reuirement to review or endorse It is just too good a book to go without reviewingDon't hesitate to pick up your copy of Masked You won't be disappointed

Werewolves don’t get sick may it be a common cold or the most aggressive stage 4 cancer And if a human with a chronic condition is turned you can bet the transformation will resolve his health issue at once Werewolves also don’t get addicted their bodies naturally get rid of any inebriating—or harmful—substanceWhen a mysterious illness seems to target them without any conseuence on the human population the Werewolf Alliance is completely at loss How could they face an enemy they cannot see? An enemy they cannot hunt and tear to pieces? Their only option is to ask humans for help something the Alpha Commander Daniel Locke is against to because humans are untrustworthy Because there is history between him and the Brandebourg’s human protégée security expert Parker Johnson although the only contact Daniel ever had with her was through phone callsParker is eager to help out her adoptive kin but she is less than happy to work side by side with the overbearing Alpha Commander But deads are piling up and there is no other choice a truce is agreed and both sides will have to compromise in order to find and destroy the enemy Their growing attraction? It’s just but a bothersome distraction that none of them wants to give in Nota Bene Daniel’s wolf disagrees even if Parker could NOT be their long awaited mateAs the inuiry slowly lead our heroes to the villains and allow them to unfold their plan to rid the world of werewolves they realise that the enemy’s objective is much twisted than what they thought“Masked” is my first approach to both thriller and Werewolf genres nevertheless I was able to appreciate the story Is it original? I cannot say but I did find it an original story per se in which our modern technology mingles with Werewolf lore M Greenhill took great care in describing her world and the growing struggles those mythical creatures have with it—a good example is when one of the characters says they cannot burn down their town registries any since all data is stocked in computers I really appreciated how she used this weakness in an otherwise almighty powerful Alpha like Daniel and his fellow Weries justifying their slower rate to adapt to the peculiar need of their wolf counterpart—after all they are animals of the wilderness they could not be ‘caged’ in a white collar job And yet the author shows us how with a little compromising this limit could be overcome Another interesting thing is the frustration of Alice Daniel’s packs’ physician who looks for something challenging and stimulating than checking that bones heal properly—one could even think her prayers have been very well heard up above Indeed Alice’s current project started for boredom and to stay updated with the latest scientific discoveries will be essential in understanding the threat how it works and most of all which it’s aim isAnd then there is Parker the human who has found out how to mask her smell so that her lupine friends wouldn’t know her emotions before her What I had always loved about her is how she refuses to play the damsel in distress she has a job to be done and she doesn’t economise her resources Yes she is a workaholic sleeping and eating little; but at the same time she knows when she has to ask for help This in my opinion is the proof of her own strength being not only able to delegate tasks to others according to their abilities and the present need but also of forced cold thinking in the worst situation—no I’m not going to spoil you As for the plot itself it’s a gripping thriller well developed and with a good pace with an alternation of chilling moments when you could only cross your finger and held your breath and some others uieter passages It’s mostly through those that we see the non Romance blooms between Parker and Daniel by showing not only how their relationship shifts from archenemies to willing allies but also their personal stories and opinions about the world they move into The final twist which I’m letting you find out by yourselves is the cherry on top of this subplotThis is an exceptional book that I would recommend to anyone who is hesitant about the Werewolf genre the originality and the care used by the author to build her world makes this a real page turner that will make you forget about everything else until reaching the very last page

Masked for me is the first one I have read by M Greenhill I'm very impressed This story is about Parker a genius hacker with a drive to protect the werewolves from new attacks three years ago she had to deal with an Alpha Daniel and it was seriously not a good experience Ever since they have butted heads We all know that there is a fine line between love and hate Daniel doesn't trust Parker because she's human Little does he know how involved she is in the community The hostility is still there but these two are are going to be put to the test when they are forced to work together The story was good the side characters were awesome and the two main characters were great It was a seriously enjoyable and I can't wait for

  9. Erin Korb Erin Korb says:

The cover immediately grabs your attention and this book definitely isn’t your run of the mill werewolf story The author perfectly blends the modern day world with pack life and immerses you in the problems growing technology brings There is plenty of action without tons of the shifting gore and death common with this genre The relationship between the main characters isn’t your typical “alpha male and damsel in distress” plot either I really appreciated the give and take between the two There are so many plot twists and turns I was surprisingly caught off guard at the end I can honestly say I didn’t see that coming and I’m usually good at picking up the subtle hints authors drop and figuring out the end before I get there A solid good read that left me anxious for the continuation of the seriesI received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC for an honest review First I freaking loved this story Masked blended mystery techno thriller with werewolf tropes for something different and highly entertaining Aside from the thriller elements that frankly had me plowing through the last third of the book to see what happened I went to bed at 1 AM I regret nothing the slow burn romance between Parker and Daniel were both frustrating and delightful The romance as a whole I would say is a sub element of the main story line which does some interesting things with werewolf mythology and how the species copes with modern technology What I did not expect from this story was the emotional wreckage at points in this novel view spoiler#JusticeforBobby hide spoiler
