Reviewed for Prism Book Alliance45 StarsFlying Solo is book 6 in the Men of London Series and a perfect additionThe prologue is like a punch to the gut as we watch Mooch’s life fall apart on the streets at a very young age Mooch turns that devastation into something good as he pulls back his life and almost reinvents himself but he never forgets that fateful night or the loss he sufferedMaxwell Lewis is a survivor Well liked in his job as a cabin crew member fun to be around and with a high sex drive that often involves plane toilets chances are if you have been with the man you feature and rank somewhere on sexcella He’s looking for that perfect score and just recently he has become far eager to find it He wants what his friends have – someone to come home to and someone to fall in love with Where previously just the thought made him shudder he is now almost desperate to find it the sooner the better Even though he has moved on in his life his past still remains like a cloud you see this is in the way he lives the way he stores his belongings and his vulnerability He hasn’t let Levi go altogetherGibson Henry has the look of an angel and the temper of the devil well in my mind anyway Sexy slutty and rarely up for a repeat performance his life revolves around work and building up his company alongside his best friend A uick and satisfying encounter with Maxwell whilst on a flight should be just that uick and satisfying but it becomes a memory that lingers and teases until they bump into each other in a club a few weeks later I still can’t get the vision of Maxwell performing the crane in the middle of a gay bar and feel I should thank the author for thatFlying Solo is emotional sassy and fun It brings together a man terrified of commitment and another so desperate for it he can almost taste it If they can just get over their hang ups and their pasts they may hit that perfect 5

I don't know how I've gone this long and not read one of Susan Mac Nicol's books but this is actually the first one of hers that I've had a chance to readand so of course now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to enjoy her writing Because I truly did enjoy Flying Solo and now I can't wait to get started on her entire backlistI'm always up for a story where players find the one especially those self admitted players who have the idea in their heads that they're nowhere close to wanting to settle down Getting to watch them do an about face and develop a meaningful relationship with that one person who is their match? Always priceless and Flying Solo pulls this off uite nicely with one main character Maxwell knowing he wants to stop his player ways and settle down and the other Gibson being the one who thinks he's not ready to do the same It was great seeing them meet over and over slowly developing their relationship over timeMaxwell's past adds some tension and angst to the story providing some hurdles for them both to get past and Gibson has family drama to ramp up the emotional aspect I loved how they supported each other through everything and became stronger as a couple Though some issues become threatening to their relationship giving the story complexity and pulling you in deeper as you root for resolution to it allbecause Maxwell and Gibson match each other so well you will want to see them work it all outFans of MM romance will really enjoy Flying Solo just as I did this was a really good 4 star read for me and I'd recommend it to fans of the genre who are 18 for adult language and MM sexual content This story has me adding the author to my list of favorite MM authors

There are certain ualities I tend to look for in a Susan Mac Nicol book One of those is spunky uick witted charactersThis book hit the nail on the head with that one Flying Solo was a rather uick and pleasant read Hot and sexy as usual but leave it to Susan to toss in an incredibly sweet and heartbreaking undertone I was almost brought to tears at the tenderness in this storyShe knows just how to get me I really fell for Maxwell The way he kept his things around him and the longing he had I don't want to say too much but ugh tugged at my heartstrings for sure I know I'm harping on the sweet and sad because that was a big part but there was definitely also sarcasm fun flirting and oh so much hotness I'll never look at a bottle of water the same way again Thanks Susan Awesome addition to the Men Of London Series An arc was provided by the author for an honest reviewRead reviews at Judy's Confessions

BR with EleThis might be my favorite of the books I've read in this series thus far And look at that arse on the cover Mmmm now that's a thing of beauty Maxwell is not the prickly jaded man he pretends to be He's lonely and ready to settle down with someone real Max is a flight attendant and has spent years fulfilling his needs with uickie mile high blow jobs When he sees a gorgeous twink with blonde curls and geeky glasses he's smitten immediately Too bad Gibson blows him off completelyPayback's a bitch Gibson a game developer who owns his own business with his best friend Jack I adored Jack Best straight friend EVER comes across as a narcissistic diva initially but he redeems himself a hundred times over I absolutely loved these two together Max falls for Gibson head over heels Gibson is scared of relationships but he craves Max and slowly realizes that falling in love is not so bad after all Gibson takes care of Max when Max falls ill and Max is there for Gibson when tragedy strikes Gibson's family Max didn't have the support Gibson did growing up He was a street kid and lost everything he had one night in the bitter cold There's so much sweetness in this book and plenty of sexy times too None of the angst felt manufactured or heavy Even when Max loses his shit at the end the relationship is strong enough to survive it I loved that Gibson didn't give up on Max and that Max didn't push Gibson away The last chapter had me cheering This one doesn't end with a traditional HEA but it was sparkly all the sameI hate to bring this up because I really enjoyed the story but the many many typos were uite distracting Susan Mac Nicol is a talented writer There's no excuse for such poor editing

4 starsFlying solo was the first book I read in this series and can be read as a standaloneIt was a great read easy enjoyable and not over the top The life of a flight attendant can make having a relationship hard but when Max meets computer geek Gibson on his flight his ready to tryThe relationship between these two was easy going like any relationship it took time which was great to see and Susan did a great job of not rushing the scenes between timeframe but also not dragging them on with the same period of timeLook forward to seeing what else Susan has written

Maxwell is an air steward with a past and one day when he is working he realises that he wants to settle with someone He wants to make a life for himself He has had the one night stands and his fun but making a life with someone is appealing to him now He loves his job but he has a past Gibson is a man who knows what he wants He meets Max on a plane and then they hook up Another chance encounter at a bar with Max being an alpha male and over protective which was so damn adorable They slowly get to know each other but disaster strikes and grief ensues I adored watching these two men learn to be there for each other To cherish love each other There is something so damn special in the way that they treat each other I love it I'll definitely be reading from this author in the future 4 stars

A book that makes me cry right off the batkind of scary but thankfully it didn't last throughout the entire book Whew We met Max in a previous book as the flirty flight attendant and hook up of one of the other MCs so I was happy to get his story As Mooch he slayed me As Maxwell he charmed me I just loved him And Gibson was just the cutest thing So caught up in his computer coding he doesn't see anything around him Geek to the core A hot twinky geek but still I loved every character in this book The sexual teasing of Gibson's bff hilarious I got sad and mad and happy and was all over the place Great addition to the series

I liked this story and I liked Max and Gibson togetherThe only issue I had and it's not with the book is Gibson's name was Gibson Henry And everytime I saw his full name all I could think about was Henry Gibson that actor who was on Laugh In and had all the weird characters So that kinda spoiled the book but it wasn't the book's fault
