That's a very great series Since the first book until this last one the story just get better Besides I still think Joy's best friend Monica pretty annoying and the fact that her dad knew about the Twixt and never mentioned nothing to Joy and her brother Stef the book is really great The story is never boring Always something is happening And it's crazy it's really coolInk is adorable I love how his character grows Joy is always smart and brave Anyway a very nice conclusion Gonna miss this series but I'm happy it ended with a good end

I am always thrilled to read a book by someone who is able to create a different world with different beings How in the world can they do that? Unfortunately for me this was the last book of a series so I didn't get to read the full sweep of the series however the characters are well drawn out and the plot is good Received the book through Goodreads giveawaysJ Robert Ewbank author John Wesley Natural Man and the Isms Wesley's Wars To Whom It May Concern and Tell Me About the United Methodist Church

710 No love triangleinstead across the series you get to watch an adorable couple grow together You know like couples in real life do It was refreshing realistic I mean as realistic as a YA fiction book can be and great to see develop Ink and Joy frustrated me at times like just tell the truthit isn't hard but overall I loved them Great character developmentI loved watching Joy mature She went from a girl calling on Ink whenever anything even spooked her to a woman who was smarter and stronger and only called on her guy to support her not save her CreativeThe world of the Twixt is so creative and beautiful Great descriptions wonderful creatures unpredictable and just was overall magical The story wasn't drawn outThis series was only 4 books long and it was perfect I appreciated that Metcalf ended it where she did and didn't try to draw the story out to 5 books A little confusingAt the end of the series I understood the Twixt a lot better obviously but I still think that there were some areas where I just decided that I would have to be okay with the fact that I didn't understand Also there were a lot of characters and I started to lose track of who was who Repetitive at times100% understand that I am being nit picky on this one I don't like things being repeated; I feel like it is a waste of my time I understand the necessity of it at times but I felt like the series as a whole got too repetitive Specifically I read that Joy's parents got divorced and that her mother abandoned her father for a younger guy about 36 times throughout the series Left some uestions Possible spoilersDoes Joy age slowly? Normally? At all?Is she magically in control of her newfound powers now? Are they gone? Why?Did she and Ink have the I age and you don't conversation? Is Joy a legit Scribe now? Do they still need Scribes? What changed now that the King and ueen are back?Is heaven still inside of the Bailiwick? What happened to Coral? What happens to Monica now?annnd a few other random ones that probably would be gone if I fully understood the TwixtSo overall I enjoyed this series and its characters While it isn't going to be placed on my list of books that I need to reread I definitely wouldn't mind rereading it

This damn book Invincible is the fourth and final book in the Twixt series by Dawn Metcalf This was Dawn's first series and she did a helluva a good job Every time I read a book in this series it gives me a headache and a book hangover but in a good way The world she built the Twixt is so complex so many things happen and you have to keep track of so many people With all of these factors you can not fathom what will happen next who would turn on who what new thing will happen whose secret will be discovered and I was always terrified for Joy and the rest of the group This is a good thing it kept me invested in the story in the characters Joy was so very human in this series full of Other Thans she made mistakes uestioned things but most of all tried to do what was right So much shit went down and everything became topsy turvy This series kinda pulls you and gives you that feeling like your in Wonderland where nothing is as it seems everything is fantastical and gruesome all at once but most of all dangerous as hell Want to guess how many times Joy's life has been threaten in this series I don't even know because it happened so often However this series was magical dangerous romantic and intriguing Invincible was a perfect ending to this wondrous series Everything fit as it should have and wrapped things up nicely although I am still confused on some parts for the whole it was a really good book the action couldn't have been betterInvincible was full of action romance plots to overthrow a kingdom and a murder plot so large it was hard to fathom The day was lost and saved times than I can count but in the end all is well I am looking forward to reading what every Dawn decides to write next

I won this book in a giveaway and wanted to read it but it's the 4th book in a series and the series finale book I never read series out of order But sometimes I like doing things that I never do And I didn't have time to read book 1 3 and I really wanted to read this book At times I sneak a peek at the end of a book to decide to read the book I kinda did this with this series And my decision is I MUST READ THIS WHOLE SERIES It's that goodThe writing is stellar Great descriptions and emotionally evocative writing I could see everything unfolding in my mind like a movie The characters are all 3 d and complex They felt real and relatable despite being otherwordly I loved hanging out with them Ink is just wow and Joy is a kick butt protagonist The world building is intricate and despite not reading the other books I was able to grasp everything that was going on It was a total treat for anyone who loves fairytales and paranormal creatures This is a finely crafted tale and I can't wait to read Book 1 3 Wow I am a definite fan of Dawn Metcalf and will read whatever she writes next

Incredible book I think one of the best parts is that she uses the ending to say that slavery is wrong and she does so through a black character to demonstrate that the control of the Twix was similar to control the black community faced well enslaved I think it was really interesting and a good metaphor and that I didn’t realize that’s what she was going for until the very end when the Best friend who is black said no to controlling the frog creature

I'm a sucker for complex character driven stories and you can't ask for complex intriguing pair than Joy and Ink This entire series is a great story in and of itself sure but the story telling is what makes it so beautiful Dawn Metcalf has such a beautiful way with words it was like reading a fairytale in poetry A faerypoem if you willOne thing left me confused however and it's a total spoiler so if you haven't read the book yet DO NOT click the spoiler tagview spoilerBriarhook's parting words to Joy really bugged me that she was still a mortal and would die of old age If there was a single thing in this book that left me disappointed it was the lack of a HEA with Ink Don't get me wrong a cookie cutter happy ending isn't necessarily a deal breaker when I fall in love with a series but I feel like I'm missing something Am I missing something? hide spoiler

OMG the series is over It feels like the end of an Era I'm almost not sure what to do with myself There's so much story to tell I absolutely LOVED this book The journey Joy took with Ink and In from beginning to end from the first mark to finding the doorway in the Bailiwick and helping to fulfill the Prophecy of the Imminent Return was one of mystery intrigue entrapment betrayal love fear anger there are just so many elements to the story that you find yourself just as surprised as the characters when things are finally revealed I got to the very last chapter and visibly winced that it was almost over The finale in a four part series of Epic adventures I can only hope we will hear from them again in the future Maybeone day
