The beasties are back If you did not read Dead Trees 1, you should Eli Constant does put a recap at the beginning of the book with the important parts of the first installment for you, but you miss some of the real feeling of the first book if you have not read it It had been a while since I read the first book and the recap helped me, but now I feel the need to go back and read the first one, so I can read this one again Yes, it was that good.I do not like to give spoilers, so will not do The beasties are back If you did not read Dead Trees 1, you should Eli Constant does put a recap at the beginning of the book with the important parts of the first installment for you, but you miss some of the real feeling of the first book if you have not read it It had been a while since I read the first book and the recap helped me, but now I feel the need to go back and read the first one, so I can read this one again Yes, it was that good.I do not like to give spoilers, so will not do so in a review We begin right where the first book left off, but I can see where Eli has grown as an Author in the time between books and this already has a different feel to it In no time at all the peace our family has found is shattered that is not really a spoiler, I mean really, why else write a second book and we are back to figuring out how to survive again Eli did not hold any punches with this one either In her style, she made me hold my breath, cringe in pain, cry, and be furious I was completely lost in the book at times I had to force myself to put the book down to go to bed, wanting to continue to read well past midnight The characters have continued to develop, and are completely believable The scenarios are believable as well I can see myself in the situation and being as excited about the little things as about the larger things Believe me, you do not know how much you can get excited about some toiletries There was not as much science in this one, although there promises to be in the third Yes, there will be a third, she left it as a total cliff hanger All in all I loved this book I would suggest this book for older young adults, due to some of the graphic scenes in the book The action is almost nonstop, and the plot twists and turns are quite unexpected I enjoyed it so much

Review to come but all I can say for now is that Dead Trees 2 was a fantastic, brilliant, amazing book that has drained me emotionally..REVIEW There s something about the way Eli Constant writes she grabs the reader by the hair drags them into her fictional world I always end up feeling like I m one if her characters seeing, hearing, smelling, touching tasted everything they sense People may think I m exaggerating but its true Iwas a serious emotional wreck whilst reading Dead Tr Review to come but all I can say for now is that Dead Trees 2 was a fantastic, brilliant, amazing book that has drained me emotionally..REVIEW There s something about the way Eli Constant writes she grabs the reader by the hair drags them into her fictional world I always end up feeling like I m one if her characters seeing, hearing, smelling, touching tasted everything they sense People may think I m exaggerating but its true Iwas a serious emotional wreck whilst reading Dead Trees 2 it took me a while to recover from the raw intensity of Eli s words Rarely am I left speechless, I usually have plenty to say, but as I reflected on this novel, I realized there would be no surefire way to describe this book but to say amazing I don t think it there is much of a middle road with this one The Dead Trees series is a MUST READ for sure I guarantee you won t look at life the sane way once you finish

Dead Trees 2 picks up about 2 years after we left Elise and Jason at the end of DT1 There is sooo much action in this book, it just doesn t stop From the very beginning until the very end, Elise is having to fight for her and her family s survival The beasties and The General have not given up their hunt for her The vaccine Elise created in DT1 has had some interesting side effects for the beasties it doesn t tame, and man, are they vicious This book is extremely emotional I m not norm Dead Trees 2 picks up about 2 years after we left Elise and Jason at the end of DT1 There is sooo much action in this book, it just doesn t stop From the very beginning until the very end, Elise is having to fight for her and her family s survival The beasties and The General have not given up their hunt for her The vaccine Elise created in DT1 has had some interesting side effects for the beasties it doesn t tame, and man, are they vicious This book is extremely emotional I m not normally an emotional reader I rarely cry during books If anything, the only emotions I feel for the characters are sympathy and anger I got the full range of emotion reading Dead Trees 2 At one point, I literally had tears pouring down my face I just couldn t keep myself together Elise has been through hell and back She s experienced the devil himself and there is no way I could have been as strong as she is I would have curled up in the fetal position and cried myself to death already if I had to experience half of what she has Eli Constant really is an awesome author Her stories will rip you to pieces, but leave you wantingThis series is so unlike anything else I ve ever read, and I m so glad I ve had the opportunity to read it I would recommend this book and series to anyone who is looking for a different kind of apocalyptic world that doesn t include zombies
